Having been borne into an entrepreneurial family, Peter originally aspired to follow in his mother’s footsteps as both an exceptional real estate investor and dutiful agent. However, the untimely passing of his father in 2008 from lung cancer prompted him to pursue his father’s last wish: to become a medical doctor so he could save others with similar afflictions. Fulfilling his promise to his father, Peter was accepted to New York Medical College, George Washington University School of Medicine, and Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2011; and ultimately chose Saint Louis University for its charming, midwestern vibe. Prior to beginning his medical studies, Peter helped his mother save thousands of dollars by selling his mother’s home on Carmel Mountain as a For-Sale-By-Owner at over 98% of the appraised price in just over a month—in the down market of 2011. While in Saint Louis, Peter used his proceeds earned from his hobby as an equity investor to invest in a bank-owned home for $115,000, and sold it after graduating from medical school for $176,000. However, tragedy struck again just prior to his graduation when his mother passed away from liver failure. Her untimely passing, and final wish for him to pursue what makes him happy, ultimately compelled Peter to serve others in the way that he had originally intended to: as an outstanding real estate advisor helping others prosper.

Despite his short career in medicine, Peter has earned numerous awards such as the title of NEJM Scholar (awarded to 1 of 30 medical students worldwide for an outstanding essay in the New England Journal of Medicine’s 200th Anniversary Essay Contest), the Jayne M. Perkins Scholarship for exceptional promise in dementia research, an NIH grant to study screening methods for occult dementia at Washington University in Saint Louis, and the “Looking to the Future” Scholarship for an expenses-paid visit to the 50th Annual Society of Thoracic Surgeons meeting in Orlando, FL to meet leaders of cardiothoracic surgery. Peter also founded the Saint Louis University Chinese Clinic, a free clinic for underserved Asian-Americans utilizing a novel, cost-effective combination of free space at a local religious center, and malpractice insurance extended from Saint Louis University. He is also a published first author in the Journal of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) for his Master of Science research on the links between exercise and COPD severity, and has presented his research findings on occult dementia at several medical symposiums across the nation.
